BSA Airsporter MK1 or 2 Tap in Stainless Steel blank bore
BSA Airsporter MK1 or 2 Tap in Stainless Steel blank bore
Early Airsporters were very good but suffered from leaky taps. BSA did not seem to able to make a leak proof tap and most were hopeless. This would greatly affect the performance. A slight leak is not too bad, but a leaky one is hopeless.
BSA Airsporter Mark 1 or 2 Stainless Steel tapered tap Blank. This is the tap that will open when the gun is cocked, Also comes with the Stainless Steel Tap lever and SS opening cam. The mark 3 Airsporter and later taps are parallel and do not open automatically like the 1 and 2.This tap has the slots for the lever and the opening cam. The tap can be lapped in and then the tap is marked with a centre punched through the barrel to drill the tap bore that will then be exactly in line. Make sure the rod is a good fit in the bore so it is centre of the bore.
The price for this is VERY LOW at the moment.
