Theoben Rapid 7 Std Adjustable Hammer in Stainless Steel option inertia W & Spring + S. Spring guide
Adjustable Hammer made of Stainless Steel for the Rapid 7. This makes the hammer adjustable so you can adjust the lock-time and control the power easier with a faster lock time and closer to 12, this also helps when you have different strength hammer springs.
Photo shows the correct assembly of the inertia weight and Stainless Steel Spring, the spring goes into the hammer before the weight, followed by the spring.
This is for the standard Rapid 7, not the later rarer one with the match trigger and groove (2nd picture left), this is for 99 % of the Rapid 7s.
I have added the option of a new steel inertia steel weight and Stainless Steel spring, also and a steel spring guide that goes at the front for extra inertia for only £4.95, this replaces the the standard plastic one that is at the back. The second picture shows our adjustable hammer for the later R7. The standard hammer is not adjustable. This hammer has a lock nut on the front of the hammer allowing it to be adjusted, undoing the nut allows the centre screw to be wound in or out, thereby adjusting the hammer travel. The longer the travel, the more inertia (power) to knock the valve open or turn out to reduce the power. Do not hit too hard as it may bend the exhaust valve. See our DVD on Tuning the Rapid 7 for more details. The very earlier Rapids had an adjustable hammer. See our DVD if you are not sure. Always check the power to make sure the gun does not exceed your countries limit, after changing any parts.
