SMK QB/XS 78 Modified Front Body with special heavy duty O ring and the front screw changed to an Allen screw. Does not come with the SSteel cap.
We now have the older short and the later long type. Just select in the options when you order.
The picture on the left shows the Long front cap while the one on the right shows the older shorter cap. The body of these caps are made of Stainless Steel with a Stainless Steel knuled cap and allen screw.
The top right photo shows the later body while the one on the right shows the earlier body. When you put the parts together use locktite or similar on the screw to prevent it from working loose. The cap must be able to rotate freely from the body.
Important to stop any delay please make sure that you select the long or short inner cap.

If you don't know whether you have a short or long then click More Info below. The earlier one had about a quarter of an inch of plain cylinder before the threads started while the later one with the longer inside had a good half inch of plain cylinder, the last photo shows the later front end with the longer gap before the threaded part, and would have the longer front cap type. The other clue is that the older shorter cap O ring is partly hidden and is therefore harder to change than the later one.
The last photo shows the older type with the short front cap to match the older type with the later long type below.
I think that is why they changed the front so the later one is easier to change the front cap O ring. It pays to change the front O ring when ever they look a bit worn. I do stronger heavy duty O rings for most guns which I normally put on the Short or Long body.
I can add a small sachet of O ring / Seal lubricant in the options tab for .45 pence which helps insertion and can be used on the exhaust seal face etc.
