BSA MERCURY/METEORS/SUPER SPORT Solid front Cocking Arm Summary

BSA MERCURY/METEORS/SUPER SPORT Solid front Cocking Arm

BSA MERCURY/METEOR/SUPER SPORT etc, Stronger Front Cocking Arm in Stainless Steel.
I have never had one one of mine break.

Replaces the thin plates that are standard and often break as it seems that one is taking the load, and being thin breaks. This is a common failure.

There are more than one type of cocking linkages on the BSAs, The early ones had a single arm and did not break as easily as the double linkage types.

The double linkage types are so you can have a more solid stock underneath, so does not have a long slot in the underside of the wood.

There is a front shorter one so if you have the short type then select the one you want in the drop down menu.
Check the dimensions on the second photo to make sure you have the right length. These have a distance of 65mm on the hole centres, and the short one has approxamatly 43mm between centres. see photo.

But if you do have a different length or different gun then I can probably make a different size to suit most guns.
I alo have quick detachable pivot pins for these longer one for the front and a shorter one for the middle link.
See the last photo for a photo of the short QD pin.
Just remove the small circlip and pull out without the use of a punch and hammer.
The ones that need the punch can very often work themselves out and cut a groove through the underside of the stock, or fall out.
I have made some QD pins with circlips for easy removal and less likely to work loose and you can select these under the options tab.
