New Later type hammer made adjustable, Adjustable Hammer made of Stainless Steel for the Later Rapid 7s with the match trigger. Check the photo to see if your hammer has the groove near the rear which is a later one with the better trigger so you order the right one. The photo shows the standard hammer, but this is for the adjustable one that will have a screw and locknut on the front that is adjustable. This makes the hammer adjustable so you can adjust the lock-time and control the power easier with a faster lock time, this also helps when you have different strength hammer springs. Also includes a new steel inertia weight and Stainless Steel spring, also includes a steel spring guide that goes at the front for extra inertia, this replaces the the standard plastic one that is at the back.
This hammer has a locknut on the front adjuster, undoing the nut allows the centre screw to be wound in or out, thereby adjusting the hammer travel. The longer the travel the more inertia to knock the valve open. Do not hit too hard as it may bend the exhaust valve.
