Fully Adjustable Hammer (Advanced users) made of Stainless Steel for the Rapid 7. This is a Fully Adjustable hammer so you can adjust the engagement, travel lock-time and control the power easier with a faster lock time and closer to 12 or FAC if you have the ticket, this also helps when you have different strength hammer springs.
Second Photo shows the correct assembly of the inertia weight and Stainless Steel Spring, the spring goes into the hammer before the weight, followed by the spring guide and spring. The first photo shows the Prototype, Will put the actual one on later, this has a fixed rear so the front is fully adjustable as well as the front adjusting stud.
This is for the standard Rapid 7, not the very latest one.
Also includes a new steel inertia steel weight and Stainless Steel spring, also includes a steel spring guide that goes at the front for extra inertia, this replaces the the standard plastic one that is at the back. The standard hammer is not adjustable. This hammer also has a lock nut on the front of the hammer allowing a second adjuster, undoing the nut allows the centre screw to be wound in or out, thereby adjusting the hammer travel. The longer the travel, the more inertia (power) to knock the valve open. Do not hit too hard as it may bend the exhaust valve. See our DVD on Tuning the Rapid 7 for more details. The very earlier Rapids had an adjustable hammer. See our DVD if you are not sure. Always check the power to make sure the gun does not exceed your countries limit, after changing any parts.
